“Ethics in health care” is a new research support programme. A total of SEK 36 million has been allocated to the programme over a five-year period and new applications may be submitted once a year during the application period. The programme focuses on four themes:
- The beginnings of life - ethics in health and medical care for children and young people. - The end of life – ethical aspects of palliative care, geriatric care and geriatric nursing. - Living with risk – the ethical problems involved in genetic and high-tech medicine. - Ethical consequences of priorities made in health care and nursing.
The financiers of the programme are Vårdalstiftelsen (The Vårdal Foundation), Vetenskapsrådet (The Swedish Research Council), Barncancerfonden (The Swedish Children´s Cancer Foundation) and Hjärt-Lungfonden (The Heart and Lung Foundation). |
